Community event in Joseph Lappin’s memory on Sunday 27th May in Doric Park, Old Swan.
For information, here’s the latest message from Vicky Banks at LCC about the Green Lane road works. At the last OSBA breakfast meeting in March we received assurances from Vicky Banks that lessons have been learned from the problems experienced at the Derby Lane/St Oswalds Street junction, and LCC are determined that every effort will be made to keep disruptions to a minimum, wherever possible; our newly elected Mayor, Joe Anderson, who originally intervened to get the Green Lane road works put back to a more suitable date, also pledged to keep an eye on proceedings.
If you experience any problems or have any other issues, please contact Vicky Banks (I understand she’ll be on site during the work) or you can let me know and I’ll pass the details on.
Please also pass the message on to other businesses in the area. Thank you
Regards, Paul Aberdein

Hi
Not sure if you’ve received notice as yet of the Olympic Torch route, but this letter from LCC has been kindly forwarded to me by Sue Wood of Liverpool Vision. You can see the route is coming through Old Swan on its way to the City centre on 1 June 2012, so there will be some temporary rolling road closures, but on the plus side we may attract some visitors who may be looking for refreshments etc
Best wishes, Paul
Paul Aberdein
